PREVIEW: Saskatchewan VS Georgia (Mar.24)

Duluth, GA – Sunday afternoon, the Saskatchewan Rush  and Georgia Swarm will battle it out at GAS South Arena.

 

Since moving to Saskatchewan in 2016, the Swarm have got the better of the Rush winning six of the eight matchups. Last season, the Rush got four goals and four assists from Robert Church but it wasn’t enough as Georgia picked up a 13-9 win on their home turf. Goaltender Frank Scigliano is 3-3 all-time against Georgia, including a 53 save performance back in 2017 against the Swarm. 

 

Kryptonite: In eight games against the Georgia Swarm, Robert Church has 40 points, averaging five points per game. 

 

Georgia is coming off a 13-8 loss against the Philadelphia Wings at GAS South Arena in front of 4247 fans. Goalie Brett Dobson allowed seven goals on 15 shots, while backup Angus Goodleaf stopped 20/26 in his 37 minutes of relief. The Swarm are 8-7 this season, with a 4-2 record at home with a +1 goal differential. 

 

Monsters: The Swarm have a three headed monster up front on attack. Shayne Jackson, Lyle Thompson and Andrew Kew have combined for 214 points this season.
