PREVIEW: Saskatchewan at Halifax (Mar 14)

Halifax, NS – The Saskatchewan Rush (10-3) and Halifax Thunderbirds (7-5) will meet up at Scotiabank Centre on Friday, March 14th.

The Rush are coming off a 8-7 win over the Georgia Swarm on the road. Brock Haley and Ryan Keenan both had two goals in the game, while Frank Scigliano stopped 45/52 shots he faced.  Saskatchewan could be without Isaac Ngyou, Matt Acchione and Robert Church, who all missed the game against Georgia.

Double Trouble: This is the second meeting of the season between these two squads, with the first taking place on December 14th, where the Rush won 9-8 in overtime on Co-op Field. Zach Manns scored six times that game. 

Halifax dropped a 15-12 decision against Toronto in their last game inside Scotiabank Centre. Clarke Petterson had two goals and four assists to lead the way on offence, while Warren Hill and Drew Hutchison combined for 28 saves.

Brotherly Love: Rush defender Matt Hossack’s brother, Graeme Hossack, currently leads Halifax in caused turnovers with 15, blocked shots with 12 and is second on the team with 93 loose balls.  

Faceoff from Halifax is at 4:00PM Sask Time.
