PREVIEW: Saskatchewan vs Rochester (Feb 15)

Feb 14, 2025

Saskatoon, SK – The Saskatchewan Rush and Rochester Knighthawks will meet up on Co-op Field on Saturday, February 15th.

The Rush are coming off a Friday night 16-13 win in Calgary against the Roughnecks. Ryan Keenan had a hat trick and seven points in the win. Saskatchewan could be without defender Jerrett Smith who was injured against Las Vegas on January 11th and faceoff specialist Jake Naso, who left the game against Albany on January 25th with a lower body injury.

Tired Legs: This is Saskatchewan’s first back-to-back of the 24/25 season. Last year, the Rush had two back to backs where they went 0-2 out east against New York and Georgia but went 1-1 against Calgary in a pair of April games.

Rochester hasn’t played in 14 days and their fresh lineup is coming off a 15-12 win over the Philadelphia Wings. Connor Fields had ten points in that win, bringing his season total up to 63. Rylan Hartley made his season debut, stopping 32/44 in the contest.

Revenge Mentality: Earlier this season, Saskatchewan knocked off Rochester 14-12 on the road inside Blue Cross Arena thanks to a four-goal performance by Austin Shanks. Ryan Lanchbury led the Knighthawks with seven points in that contest.

Faceoff from Co-op Field is at 7:00PM Sask time. Viewers in Canada can watch the game on NLL+ and TSN+, with those in America on ESPN+ with Cody Janzen, John Fraser and Heather Morrison on the call. Following the game, Rush fans can catch the official post-game show live from the turf with Janzen and Fraser during team autographs.

The Saskatchewan Rush are back on Co-op Field March 1st, when the Buffalo Bandits come to SaskTel Centre for a 7:00PM faceoff.
