PREVIEW: SASKATCHEWAN VS TORONTO (NOV.16)

Nov 16, 2024

Oakville, ON – The Saskatchewan Rush face the Toronto Rock in their second and final preseason game on Saturday night.

In Saskatchewan’s first exhibition game of training camp presented by Motion Fitness, the Rush won 13-8 over the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. Robert Church had four goals while Brock Haley had three in the win. In goal, Thomas Kiazyk made 37 saves.

Revenge Game:  While this game has zero implications on the regular season standings, the Rush season and playoff hopes were ended by the Rock last year, leaving a sour taste in the mouth of many returning players.

Toronto is 0-1 in the preseason after falling 14-11 against Calgary. The lineup did not feature many of their veteran players, but Chris Boushy and Brian Cameron led the way with a pair of goals each. Dante Mancini, Sam Haines and Troy Holowchuk all split the game between the pipes.

Goalie Of The Year: Toronto netminder Nick Rose will potentially make his first appearance of the fall as last season's NLL Goalie Of The Year posted a .821 save percentage over the course of 18 games.

Faceoff from the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) is at 6:00PM Sask time. The game will be streamed online here, plus you can follow the Saskatchewan Rush on Facebook, X and Instagram for updates throughout the game.
