
PREVIEW: Saskatchewan vs Vancouver (Feb 21)
Feb 18, 2025Vancouver, BC – The Saskatchewan Rush (8-2) and Vancouver Warriors (5-5) will meet up at Rogers Arena on Friday, February 21st.
The Rush are coming off a 17-9 win over the Rochester Knighthawks on Co-op Field. Austin Shanks and Robert Church each had four goals in the win, while Ryan Keenan and Zach Manns had five-point games. Between the pipes, Frank Scigliano made 39 saves, while Jake Boudreau led the team with 13 loose balls.
The Rush could be without defender Jerrett Smith who was hurt against Las Vegas on January 11th. faceoff specialist Jake Naso, who left the game against Albany on January 25th with a lower body injury and Isaac Ngyou, who was injured against San Diego on February 1st.
War Zone: Saskatchewan and Vancouver have been involved in a heated rivalry over the past two seasons, with the Rush winning three of the last five games. Saskatchewan is 5-1 all time at Rogers Arena.
Vancouver’s last outing was a 12-8 win over the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. Keegan Bal had two goals and seven assists in the win, while Marcus Klarich found the back of the net four times. Aden Walsh made 34 saves for his fifth win of the season.
Green No More: Vancouver features the likes of Jeff Cornwall, Ryan Dilks, Brett Mydske, Matt Beers and Riley Lowen, all former members of the Saskatchewan Rush.
