Robert Church and Team Canada win gold in Utica
Sep 29, 2024Utica, NY - Saskatchewan Rush star Robert Church and Team Canada won gold at the World Lacrosse Box Championships with a 13-7 win over USA tonight.
Canada's remarkable streak of six straight golds continued inside the Adirondack Bank Center, where Church had a goal in the final game, bringing his tournament total to 16.
In just six games, the Coquitlam product had an impressive 24 points, playing against the world's best players.
Church led a Canadian team in goals that featured the likes of Jeff Teat, Dhane Smith, Josh Byne and Shayne Jackson. This is Robert's second gold medal as he picked up his first in 2019 against Haudenosaunee in Langley, B.C.
