Rush trio on the verge of representing Canada
Jul 2, 2024Three Saskatchewan Rush players are trying to earn a spot on the national team.
Lacrosse Canada has invited Robert Church, Holden Garlent and Jake Boudreau to tryout for the Men’s National Team that will compete at the 2024 World Box Lacrosse Championship in Utica, New York.
Canada has won gold at all five previous tournaments, with Robert Church leading the way in the 2019 championship game with four goals in a 19-12 win over the Iroquois Nationals.
Garlent has represented Canada multiple times in field lacrosse, while up and coming star Boudreau looks to wear the maple leaf for the first time in the box.
Worlds are set for September 20-29, with a record 28 teams competing in the men’s box championship.
The tryouts will take place at Canada Games Park in St. Catharines, Ontario. Fans can watch the games on plus.nlse.com. White vs Red scrimmages will take place Tuesday July 2nd at 5PM and July 3rd at 8AM Sask time.
