RUSH TV BROADCAST CREW ANNOUNCED

Rush TV Broadcast Crew Announced

Dec 5, 2024

The Saskatchewan Rush have announced their broadcast team for the 24/25 season that includes Cody Janzen, John Fraser, Sabeen Ahmad and Heather Morrison.

Now on NLL+, a free streaming platform for Canadians, lacrosse fans can watch games online for free featuring the Saskatchewan based broadcast crew inside SaskTel Centre.

Cody Janzen is back for his fourth season as the club's play by play announcer, bringing you all the excitement through the airwaves. Janzen serves as the club’s voice on the NLL+ and TSN+ broadcasts at home, along with the road games which are broadcasted on 92.9 The Bull FM.

Up in the booth, colour commentator John Fraser returns for his third straight season, bringing his wealth of Saskatchewan knowledge and unmatched energy to viewers who can’t experience the games firsthand at Co-op Field. Fraser famously called Jeff Cornwall’s late game heroics in the 2016 NLL Championship.

Between the benches, Sabeen Ahmad and Heather Morrison will split duties as the team’s floor reporter this season. Ahmad has been with the Rush for four seasons, providing the audience within depth stories on the players all while keeping a pulse on the fastest game on two feet. Away from the rink, she’s the Weather and Community Anchor on CTV and a public speaker and host at a wide variety around the province. Morrison makes her debut with the Rush this season, but she’s certainly no stranger to the media world in Saskatchewan. She’s worked as a sideline reporter for the Canadian Elite Basketball League on TSN, as a radio host for CBC, the founder of Deliver Your Best Coaching and when she’s away from the mic, Heather can be found coaching her son’s local soccer team and running Ultramarathons!

Cody, John, Sabeen and Heather will guide you through gamedays on NLL+ and TSN+ from Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre. Saskatchewan’s home opener against the Halifax Thunderbirds is on December 14th and will be the crew’s first broadcast of the year.
