Saskatchewan Rush and Co-op reach new five-year partnership
Dec 6, 2023Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatchewan Rush, Saskatoon Co-op, and Federated Co-operatives Limited have agreed to a new five-year partnership, keeping the home of the Saskatchewan Rush namesake as Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre until 2028.
“Our partnership with Co-op is a perfect fit for many reasons, but I think the focal point is ‘home’. Every community, no matter how big or small in this province, has a local Co-op. It’s something unique to our province. So when we think about our home as the Saskatchewan Rush, here in this province, Co-op Field is something we can be proud to call our home,” said Tyler Wawryk, VP Business Operations with the Rush. “Not only a place where we play, but it’s a gathering place for fans from across this province. Co-op has shown unwavering support of our organization and we’re proud to call our home, Co-op Field, for the next five seasons.”
Co-op Field took centre stage in 2017 with the original version of the Saskatchewan Rush turf, but with a full rebrand this summer, the field will be getting a fresh new look, which will make its debut at this Saturday’s home opener.
“Our renewed partnership with the Saskatchewan Rush goes beyond the game; it's about fostering a sense of pride and unity and represents a shared commitment to the strong sense of community that defines both of our businesses,” said Tyler Dunn, Director of Marketing and Communications for Saskatoon Co-op.
Additionally, Co-op gas stations will continue to sell single-game tickets at a discounted rate for fans looking for an affordable night out.
“We are proud of our partnership with the Saskatchewan Rush and are excited that our Co-op shield will continue to adorn the Rush’s home field, said Heather Ryan, CEO, FCL. “The Rush, like Co-op, are committed to community and they have become an important brand across Saskatchewan. We are proud to be a part of their continued success.”
Fans looking to check out the new Co-op Field will be able to do so on December 9th when the Saskatchewan Rush host the Rochester Knighthawks in the 2023/24 home opener.
