Walter and Dodds shine in Rush road win
Feb 11, 2024The Saskatchewan Rush pulled out a full 60-minute effort in Rogers Arena for their third win of the season.
Robert Church opened the scoring, but Vancouver responded with two of their own in the first quarter as the home side led 2-1 after 15 minutes.
The Rush would tack five on the board in the second quarter, but the Warriors kept fighting back leading to a 6-6 tie at recess.
Keegan Bell, who scored his first NLL goal in the opening half, added his second of the game in the third quarter as Saskatchewan hopped out to a 9-8 lead heading into the final frame.
In the fourth quarter, Clark Walter and Patrick Dodds took over. The duo combined for three goals in the frame and eight points in the game as the Saskatchewan Rush beat the Vancouver Warriors 13-9.
Ryan Keenan had a team high three goals and three assists. Mike Messenger, Mike Triolo and Nathaniel Kozevnikov also found the back of the net. Frank Scigliano made 36 saves in the victory.
Next up, a bye week. Followed by Saskatchewan welcoming the Halifax Thunderbirds to SaskTel Centre on February 24th.
