What to Expect - Retro Night
Jan 15, 2024It’s time to time travel to the past Saskatchewan! Join us at SaskTel Centre on January 20th as the Rush take on the Vancouver Warriors presented by Obasa Home and Suites. Keep reading to get the 4-1-1 on the game!
Before the game: Make sure you are looking fly! Beat the lines and get all the retro gear you’ll need at the Fan Experience Zone (FEZ) at the corner of 51st Street & Faithfull Avenue. The FEZ will be open 12:00pm – 5:00pm. 92.9 The Bull will be on-site and giving away prizes, as well as Lucky Bastard with FREE samples of some delicious game day bevvies.
At the game: Like always, arrive early! You can head down to the glass to watch the players get psyched up, grab your favourite snacks and drinks…for the ladies, WINE IS $1 OFF! Don’t forget to head up to the Original 16 Founders Lounge to mingle with friends and enjoy live entertainment.
On the concourse: Whether you are single, taken, or it’s complicated, make sure to grab your stoplight sticker to let everyone know your status and maybe you’ll meet your perfect match! Think you can get the high score? Take a turn on the arcade games on the concourse. Don’t be a buzzkill and pop by the 360 ° photobooth or the retro selfie station! Make sure to check out the pre-game show to hear from our broadcast team as they set the scene for the game on the field and visit the team store to check out the newest rad retro gear. Get a photo with one of our game day characters like the Hulk, Rowdy, Bruiser, or the always fabulous O16 Electric Crew Dance Team Members.
Halftime: Who doesn’t love a little rivalry? We’ve got the Huskie Men’s Soccer team facing off against the Hilltops in a thrilling game of Dodgeball! Who will take the Rush Cup? Make sure to stay in your seats and find out!
On the field: The Rush are feeling fresh after a week off last weekend as the whack temperatures kept them from making it to Philadelphia to take on the Wings. They will be hosting the 1-4 Vancouver Warriors, Ryan Dilks and Matt Beers will return to SaskTel Centre for the fist time since leaving the Rush.
Post Game: Following the game, head up to the O16 Lounge to chillax and watch the live post-game show. Hear from players and coaches while enjoying the bar and waiting for the parking lot to clear out. After that, you can head down to the field to meet leading Rush scorer Zach Manns, Patrick Dodds, Bobby Kidd lll, Adam Jay, and Cam Wengreniuk who will be signing autographs. Don’t forget to grab your free wristband at the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association table on the concourse by Section G. Unless you’re a President’s Club Season Ticket Member, then just show your ticket to get on the field.
